SAP IDES server access is a login on SAP’s old International Demonstration and Education System — demo data on ECC, often client 800 in a classroom. We do not host that. Practice here is a named user on live SAP S/4HANA 2023, GUI and Fiori.
IDES was a branded demo dataset. Trainers said “log into IDES” the way some people now say “give me a practice box.” The branding stuck after the landscape moved on. Classic IDES sat on ECC. Client 800 was a classroom habit, not a product this store sells. On this store you get a named SAP user after checkout, then Fiori or SAP GUI for HTML on S/4HANA 2023. There is practice data. There is not an IDES SKU. If your PDF still names company code 1000 on client 800, that PDF is not a catalog item here. Map the exercise to 2023, or find a host that still runs IDES. What IDES actually was
Trainers used IDES because it shipped with sample companies, materials, and a client you could wreck without bothering production. “Log into IDES” became shorthand for “get a box with data.” The branding stuck.
